Michael Bloomberg is a leader in the green revolution …

Rockefeller Plaza is making the move to Green with 365 solar panels atop 45 Rockefeller Plaza.  This will result in approximately 1,300 kilowatt hours saved per day via solar power.

If you were Dreaming of a green Christmas, Mayor Michael Bloomberg of New York City has taken measures to deliver that to you.  This year on the Rockefeller center Christmas tree there are 30,000 total LED bulbs.

In 2008, there will be a Green makeover for the Brooklyn Bridge.  The 160 lights of the Brooklyn Bridge will be replaced with energy efficient bulbs next year.  Switch will be from 100-watt mercury vapor lamps to 24- watt light emitting diodes (LED)– this will reduce city greenhouse gas emissions by 24 tons each year…  Mayor Michael Bloomberg is behind this initiative as well.
